Romancing the Blouse
There is something so feminine and effortless about a beautiful peasant blouse. Easy to throw on with jeans and sneakers on the weekend or dressed up for the office, it’s a staple in most women’s closet as well as my own. While brands like Rebecca Taylor, Sezane, and Ulla Johnson remain some of my go-to’s for these, I’ve recently discovered two newer brands that offer gorgeous styles that are also sustainable.
Doen, offers a range of tops in beautiful prints, including classic liberty printed pieces at a reasonable price point. Their printed dresses are also beautiful. St. Roche, offers more solid styles with great long sleeve and sleeveless variations in whites and blacks with eyelet, lace detail and bibbing. All are incredibly chic, season-less and environmentally friendly.
